Sure, we already tune into virtually every major awards show because we're red carpet fashion junkies, but with the 2013 BRIT Awards' swoon-worthy performance line-up (*cough* One Direction and Justin Timberlake), we had additional reason to keep track of the UK show's step-and-repeat. By now, we EXPECT the 1D dudes to pay meticulous attention to their coiffures, so the flawless red carpet hair is no surprise. What is surprising to us, though, is the attention to sartorial detail these boys are exhibiting for the BRITS. Perhaps it's the home court advantage at work here, but we think Liam, Louis, Zayn, Niall, and Harry deserve a round of applause. And their outfits deserve a closer look. *wink* LEGGO!
HARRY STYLES' LAPEL FLOWER

Harry took a break from collegiate crests in favor of this little white flower flanked by a smart white pocket square. If any of the 1D guys can pull off a little romantic lapel flora, it's Heart-throb/breaker Harry.
LOUIS TOMLINSON'S DITSY DOTS

Harry's getting a run for his style money from Louis Tomlinson. Not only is Harry not the only 1D dude to sit front row at Fashion Week (Louis sat up front for Topshop Unique!), but he's also not the only one who can work a dainty polka-dot pattern. The one Louis is rocking is especially noteworthy because it features really small dots and a kind of haphazard placement that renders the ditsy print more masculine.
LIAM PAYNE'S GOLDEN DRAGONFLY

Liam was the only guy to go against the "satin lapel blazer" memo. He added a little shine to his black grandpa cardigan by way of a chic gold embroidered dragonfly. Very well done.
NIALL HORAN SPECKLED SNEAKS

Niall always has the flyest sneaker game of the bunch. We could talk about how he looks super grown-up in that collarless shirt, but the minute you catch a glimpse of these black, gray, and white speckled plimsolls, it's game over.
ZAYN MALIK'S SHOESTRING RIBBON TIE

Finally, we have Zayn Malik's shoestring tie. Not quite a bow tie, not quite a bolo, this neck adornment lives in a nebulous accessory space that only a dude of strong style will could pull off and not look completely like Colonel Sanders. Note also the skinny Peter Pan collar and the single silver hoop earring.
